The IPRM / Digital and AI Risk Team has an exciting opportunity to support Ally’s generative Artificial Intelligence risk program. The Senior Risk Analyst plays a critical role, providing a Business Line risk function, in support of Enterprise Data Analytics (EDA) and, within that organization, the Advanced Analytics and AI organization. The Risk Management function is maturing the generative AI risk program, preparing for emerging risks, monitoring the regulatory landscape, and enabling the implementation of AI use cases across the enterprise under a defined risk framework. The IPRM / Digital and AI Risk Team provides both guidance to BLs and oversight of AI patterns and use cases that come to AI Governance as part of the established risk management framework.

Senior Risk Analysts carry many other responsibilities beyond direct support to the AI Governance process. They may be assigned to work on cross-business initiatives that provide enterprise-level innovations to our customers. Another assignment could include a review of third-party contracts and/or Ally acquisitions when generative AI is integrated into the product or service. As the regulatory environment changes, emerging risks are identified and often require new controls and integration into the IPRM / Digital and AI Risk Team ’s risk framework. The Senior Analyst will work with partners from all business and risk disciplines to develop new, or enhance existing processes related to Generative AI. The role will report to a Director within the Digital and AI Risk Team.

  • Lead core risk management function(s), as assigned, and ensure compliance to the Enterprise AI Standard, the Enterprise Risk Management Policy and other governing standards and requirements.
  • Coordinate with Technology Independent Risk Management (IRM) on requirements, review and challenge, ongoing monitoring, and reporting requirements
  • Training and continuous professional development is expected to be an integral part of this role
  • Lead key function(s) for the IPRM / Digital and AI Risk (DAIR) risk framework which could include third party risk assessment, issues management, testing and monitoring or other functions as assigned.
  • Coordination and collaboration on GenAI risk management topics with Compliance, internal Audit, and other risk functions both internal and external to IT.
  • Develop and own new processes, or recommend automation opportunities, to increase efficiency and effectiveness of GenAI risk management processes.
