The Opportunity

The Card Acquisition Strategy & Advanced Business Analytics Manager will be responsible for the optimization of Ally Credit Card’s account originations marketing. They will play a critical role in the success of Card acquisitions. The Manager will collaborate across Card team building and running Card direct mail marketing & digital optimization models, prepare prospect data for campaigns, drive strategic analysis leading to improvements in prospect segmentation, targeting models and ultimately in acquisitions efficiency.

Ally work locations Wilmington DE or Charlotte NC - Hybrid schedule 3 days in office 2 days from home

The Work Itself

  • The Manager will build and maintain Ally Card's marketing segmentation and targeting models for Prescreen campaigns (Direct Mail and Online)
  • Work with internal and external partners to plan campaigns’ details and prepare data for execution
  • Track and evaluate campaign results, identify business opportunities, and make recommendations for future campaigns
  • Conduct strategic analyses of segments, products, and pricing to understand customer experience, and improve business strategy and acquisitions efficiency
  • Support development of hypotheses for marketing/targeting tests, drive analyses of results and summarize and communicate insights
  • Manage marketing data and integration with external data and APIs
  • Use analytics and testing to optimize results
  • Evaluate acquisitions and account performance data and test findings
  • Contribute to processes and controls to ensure quality and compliant execution of Card campaigns

The Skills You Bring

  • 4+ years of relevant experience as a Data Scientist or Business Analyst, or 2 years with Bachelor's and Masters degree in relevant field
  • BS or MS in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, MIS, or similar quantitative, analytical field
  • Banking, financial services, marketing and/or Credit Card industry experience preferred
  • Background in digital marketing a plus
  • Advanced in SQL and Snowflake required
  • Strategic thinking, and strong quantitative orientation
  • Ability to take advantage of open source technologies and explore emerging tools
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills; relationship building skills
  • Self-starting, entrepreneurial mindset

Base Pay Range:

Emerging: 110000

Experienced: 145000

Expert: 180000

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
