Ally is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Professional to lead the Security Configuration Compliance Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading an infrastructure hardening program to protect against threats and ensure compliance with security configuration baselines. This role requires a strong understanding of cyber security principles, experience in infrastructure hardening, and the ability to lead and mentor a small team. This position reports to the Vulnerability Management Director.

The Work Itself

  • Delivers a holistic hardening program in alignment with regulatory requirements to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities
  • Define, maintain, and enforce security configuration baselines for all relevant components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security requirements are integrated into the design and implementation of new systems
  • Ensures scanning tools are configured appropriately and run consistently to identify configuration compliance state and report findings to appropriate teams for remediation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security trends, threats, and technologies
  • Lead and mentor a team of one or two junior cyber security professionals
  • Provide guidance and support to other teams on security best practices and compliance requirements

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, etc.) or the equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in technology or cyber security
  • 2+ years of demonstrated leadership experience managing a team or effort
  • Strong knowledge of cyber security principles, best practices, and industry standards
  • Knowledge of Unix and/or Windows operating systems and services
  • Understanding of databases, web technologies, and network devices
  • Knowledge of hardening standards such as familiarity with CIS Benchmarks, DISA STIGs, etc.
  • Experience with configuration compliance scanning tools
  • Proactive, self-directing with sense of ownership
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Intermediate competency with Excel

Base Pay Range:

Emerging: 110000

Experienced: 145000

Expert: 180000

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
