The Opportunity

This role is on a hybrid schedule, in office weekly and some remote days

As the Analyst, HR Digital Solutions - Workday Reporting, Compensation and Benefits, you will be responsible both the ongoing business as usual with Workday reporting, compensation, and benefits configuration, and will support internal HR Digital Solutions related projects for testing and documentation. In collaboration with the HR Business Intelligence, People Analytics, and additional internal teams (i.e., IT, Finance, Total Rewards, etc.), you will support the existing strategy. The purpose of this role is to deliver reliable and accurate information in the form of standard and custom reports across all HR Digital Solutions applications and provide support and solutions to the Ally Total Rewards team. The role will report to the Director or Manager with limited supervision. You will frequently interact with other internal and external personnel on specific projects or more complex tasks. You may also interact with Ally Senior Leadership.

The Work Itself

  • Be part of the team responsible for the business configuration and maintenance of the Workday HR Systems supporting internal employees as well as other downstream systems and processes
  • Support the Workday Compensation and Benefits COE but may also have opportunities to support HCM Core, Staffing/Onboarding, Time Tracking, etc.
  • Partner with Total Rewards Team - Comp in design and deployment of complex core compensation reporting and workflow setup, annual merit, and bonus cycles in Workday
  • Partner with Total Rewards Team - Benefits in design and deployment of complex benefits reporting and workflow setup as well annual enrollment in Workday
  • Analysis, solutions design and development, product delivery and post-production migration support of functional modifications and enhancements to Workday HR systems/tools
  • Serve as Workday Compensation and Benefits SME; actively participate in Workday Releases and staying ahead of new features/functionality being introduced by Workday
  • Have hands on knowledge of touch points in HCM, compensation, payroll, benefits, time tracking, performance management, and security
  • Understanding on how to address benefit integration issues and partner with the HR Tech & Third-Party Benefits Administrator group to implement changes
  • Oversee the end-to-end request process for new reports and changes to existing ones; gather and document the requirement, prioritization, testing and delivery
  • Translate business and technical requirements into a project and architectural blueprint that achieves desired business objectives - this includes identifying solutions for Workday product gaps
  • Serve as a main support contact for user questions and proactively take ownership of identified issues - either independently researching and resolving the issue or escalating the issue, as appropriate
  • Conduct recurring meetings with Suppliers, IT and HR COEs to manage service line(s)
  • Effectively demonstrates ability to deliver on complex situations or problems with limited guidance or supervision
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills, as well as written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills

The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, HRIS, IT, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the key accountabilities of the job required
  • 1+ years of experience hands-on designing and configuring Workday Core Compensation, Advance Compensation, Benefits, and HCM processes REQUIRED
  • Workday Compensation Pro or Benefits Pro preferred
  • Deep understanding of HR Digital Application security and ownership of end-to-end security design across multiple applications
  • Initiative-taking and able to plan and deliver work without close oversight
  • Able to always maintain confidentiality, discretion, and attention to details
  • Diligence and relentless commitment to follow-through
  • Ability to convey ideas and recommendations to a wide variety of audiences at all levels in a clear, compelling, and succinct way in written and verbal communications
  • Strong expertise in cloud-based multi-tenant systems
  • Solid oral and written communication skills with the ability to frame communications for key customer groups
  • Strong ability to navigate within and across teams
  • Strong collaboration, negotiation and problem resolution skills
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, Vlookups, and formula-driven data transformation required
  • Basic knowledge of ad-hoc Workdday reporting criteria

Base Pay Range:

Emerging: 55000

Experienced: 75000

Expert: 95000

Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan
